1st Year Projects
Throughout my inaugural year at NDSU, my emphasis was on mastering fundamental drawing techniques, primarily including shading and shadows. As the year drew to a close, I put my acquired skills to use in the showcased projects. These endeavors involved intricate drafting infused with vibrant colors, showcasing my comprehension of how individual drawings harmoniously form a complete composition and tell a story of the design.

Sunset Park Pavilion
The Sunset Park Pavilion comprises interconnected pavilions that create distinct shade and shadows patterns as the day progresses. Take a look at the tangible model I've provided below!
Bryant Museum
The Bryant Museum is a unique project in terms of the emphasis on spatial arrangement. In this design, my primary focus was on comprehending how walls can delineate spaces without necessarily enclosing them as separate rooms. By linking these defined spaces with carefully placed building elements, it establishes a coherent pathway for occupants to follow. Please see my model below for a deeper visual understanding!

Clark Estate
Embarking on this project marked one of my initial forays into the world of drafting. Through this experience, I gained a solid foundation in elevations, floor plans, and site plans – essential components of architectural design. This project not only introduced me to these fundamental concepts but also taught me how to adeptly translate them into graphical representations that effectively convey information. This valuable lesson laid the groundwork for my future endeavors in architectural and graphic design.
Physical Models
First year of architectural school was filled with enjoyable model crafting, involving the creation of architectural models that embody a spatial concept rather than a highly detailed design.
