3rd Year
Projects
In my third year, my emphasis was on creating architecture that not only functions exceptionally, but also ignites inspiration of the occupants.
Through the cultivation of robust designs and innovative problem-solving, I learned to harmoniously link community and environment, recognizing their pivotal interplay.
Unite Dance Academy & Theater
Unite dance academy and theater is a cultural gem offering a unique fusion of native American and Spanish heritage. A modernized kiva pays homage to the significant role of native American community and spiritual spaces, while the artistic exterior plays an important role in shaping the visual landscape of the surrounding city of Alburquerque, highlighting the artistic expression that is Dance.

30 Commons
This is a multiuse community space for the NDSU community located in downtown Fargo. The building features a dining center, library, study space, a small gym as well as apartment living on the top floor. The building is intended to bring the downtown NDSU community together parting from its current segregated nature. It also provides an opportunity for majors such as business, architecture, and landscape architecture majors to obtain the same experiences a student on campus would. More about the design and inspiration can be found in my portfolio.

Pella Windows & Doors
The Pella Showroom designed in Fargo, ND is a window and door showcase facility as well as an office. The building itself features a passive energy efficient design. Both solar heating and passive cooling were considered and implemented by use of Pella windows. The awning windows hinge at the top, opening and allowing air to flow into the building creating cross ventilation. In contrast, the picture windows have a fixed frame for maximum efficiency and solar gain. A south facing Trombe wall, adjustable solar panels and cistern also add to the overall efficiency of the building.

The Promenade
A land development project aimed at connecting the Fargo - Moorhead downtown areas. The Promenade features a large pedestrian bridge addition as well as multiple 3rd spaces in the community. The landscape is inspired by Roberto Burle Marx aiming to be art in itself. The mix of mass and void forms create spaces for interaction and contemplation. Everyone is invited to create, reflect, and move within the art of the landscape.

Twenties Tavern
The Twenties Tavern seamlessly transports patrons to the glamorous ambiance of the 1920s, encompassing a restaurant and bar experience across three floors. The ground floor features the entrance, lobby, and a bustling kitchen, while the basement hosts a speakeasy bar and grill, capturing the essence of clandestine charm. Ascending to the second floor reveals an elegant fine dining restaurant accompanied by live entertainment. An innovative food elevator adds a unique touch, effortlessly conveying dishes between floors, culminating in a truly captivating and convenient dining venture.

The Emerald Silo
It is a museum information center for the Oscar Zero Minuteman Missile Alert historic facility in Cooperstown ND. Since the conclusion of the cold war, the site has been in dire need of a proper space allowing transition into a museum. A detached museum information center allows for proper historic preservation of the site as well as an expanded overall experience at the museum. The proposed museum not only reduces the modern footprint on the historic site, but it enhances the storytelling of the 20th century.

Riverline Market
The Riverline Market offers a haven where locals can unwind and foster connections within the immediate community. This, in turn, nurtures the local small businesses, fortifying the entire community. Moreover, the establishment of a central hub to fulfill these needs serves as a sanctuary for the Fargo Moorhead populace to collectively prosper. Our architectural blueprint ensures inclusivity, pushing the boundaries of urban design within the American context. By tailoring our layout to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists, we actively inspire community engagement. Addressing the pivotal concern of potential flooding on the site, our team has devised a system of terraced layers that effectively counteracts flooding effects and redirects excess water to the river. Consequently, in the event of a flood, only a minimal section of the site is impacted, affording control over this natural occurrence.

The Depot Cafe
The Depot is a cafe, bistro and bar situated directly west of downtown Fargo. Its proximity to the downtown area makes it the perfect getaway for employees and students to take lunch during the workday or have a drink once it's over. A large park outside featuring dedicated hammocking pods allows for relaxation spaces. Its multiuse and multi-seasonal attributes make this build another hidden gem of the downtown Fargo community.

I have received multiple awards for various architecture competitions at NDSU, showcasing my creativity and dedication. These accolades have motivated me to continue pushing the boundaries of design and making meaningful contributions to the architectural field.
